It's just one win in 10 now for Brentford after falling to defeat against Champions Manchester City at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday night.
Thomas Frank's side found themselves in front after just 21 minutes when Neal Maupay stole through and pounced on a long Mark Flekken goal-kick. The Bees goalkeeper then kept out an onslaught of shots from the visitors and Brentford looked to be going into half-time in the lead until Phil Foden pounced on a weak Ethan Pinnock header.
The England international found the back of the net twice more before full-time as Manchester City proved their class. Here's how the Brentford players got on.
1. Mark Flekken - 9
A very busy night for the shot-stopper. Was superb as he batted away an onslaught of shots in the first half and his long ball provided the assist for Neal Maupay. Little he could do about the goals and can be very proud tonight. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
2. Nathan Collins - 7
Strong performance from the defender despite Brentford conceding three. Made a brilliant block to stop Haaland in the first half. | WWFC via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
3. Ben Mee - 6
A pretty solid performance from the centre-back against the Champions. Was dragged a little out of position to leave space for Foden's first goal. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
4. Ethan Pinnock - 4
Started very well and did keep Haaland in check for most of the game but looked out of his depth at other moments. His header fell into Foden's path for the first, he missed a header later which gifted the City man his second and was drawn out for their third. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
