Latest transfer news and rumours regarding Brentford as they prepare for their next Premier League clash

Brentford are reportedly keen on Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher and Sunderland winger Jack Clarke. The Bees will keeping one eye on the summer as they look to bolster their squad.

According to a report by The Sun, the Bees have identified the pair as potential additions in the next transfer window. Thomas Frank’s side are currently sat in 9th place in the Premier League table with three games of the season left to play.

Brentford could see Kelleher as a potential long-term replacement for current number one David Raya, who is expected to move on for a new challenge elsewhere soon. The Republic of Ireland international, who has 10 caps under his belt to date, has played for Liverpool since 2015 but isn’t their first choice.

He is mainly used by Jurgen Klopp as their cup ‘keeper and he has made 20 appearances for the Anfield club to date. The 24-year-old has only featured three times this term.

Brentford are also said to be interested in Clarke at Sunderland but his future at the Stadium of Light will depend on whether they are promoted to the top flight in this campaign. The Black Cats have snuck into the Championship play-offs after their final day away win at Preston North End and they will face Luton Town now in the semi-finals over two legs.

The 22-year-old has been a key player for the North East outfit and has chipped in with 11 goals since joining them permanently. He has been at Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur in the past.
