Thomas Frank’s men have picked up four points from their opening two games after drawing 2-2 on the opening day away at Leicester City.

‘On the same page’...

The all-time Premier League top scorer Shearer has delivered his verdict on the London club and has said:

“This is what happens with a well run football club. Everyone is aligned on the same page, good recruitment, players who want to be part of their club, hungry players and that was proved exactly that today.

“Their game plan was not to let Manchester United settle, put them under pressure and press them and do it as a team.”

He added:

“They all understood their roles, their jobs, what they had to do and to make Manchester United look very, very poor.”

Buzzing Bees

Brentford’s aim is to fully establish themselves as a top flight team after finishing 13th in their first campaign at this level last term.

Frank has done an impressive job since taking over and has delved into the transfer window carefully this summer to add the likes of Aaron Hickey, Keane Lewis-Potter, Thomas Strakosha, Ben Mee and Mikkel Damsgaard into his ranks.

Next up for the Bees is a trip to Craven Cottage to take on rivals Fulham next weekend.

They then have a Carabao Cup clash against League Two side Colchester United which is an opportunity to play some of the fringe players and youngsters.
