Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou would have been delighted with the decision from Jurgen Klinsmann who rested Son Heung-min for their friendly game against Tunisia.

Son has been battling with an unspecified fitness issue and was replaced with 20 minutes to go against Liverpool but recovered to start the next game.

South Korea have two friendly games one against Tunisia where they won 4-0 and the next one against Vietnam, the decision to rest and not use Son will be welcomed by everyone at the Tottenham side of north London.

Spurs have injuries with Brennan Johnson battling to be fit for the game against Fulham after the international break while Manor Solomon has been ruled out for almost two months and Ivan Perisic won't be able to kick again this season.

This season has been remarkable for the Lilywhites, with their best start to a top-flight campaign in almost 50 years. In the past, most people associate Tottenham with being bottlers but so far under Ange Postecoglou they have shown that they can beat teams even when they are a man down.

They have also shown they can beat the big teams with important wins against teams like Manchester United and Liverpool as they remain unbeaten in their first seven games of the campaign.

The appointment of Postecoglou against some of the big names has proved to be a game changer with the face of the club changed.
