The contest at the top of the Premier League has once again been flipped around following Liverpool and Arsenal’s defeats to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively. Pep Guardiola’s side now sit at the top of the league two points clear of the Reds and Gunners with only six more matches to go.
However, when taking a look at the clubs’ disciplinary record, the Premier League looks entirely different with one of the top three clubs suffering much more from a lack of discipline than the other two.
According to data from Transfermarkt, here is how the Premier League would look if points were based off bookings, with one point for each yellow card, three points for two yellows and five points for a straight red...
