West Ham are in talks with Arsenal over a deal which would see Emile Smith Rowe spend the rest of the season on loan at London Stadium, LondonWorld understands. The England under-21 star has featured in just six matches across three competitions this season after returning from injury.

While the Gunners are reluctant to let Smith Rowe leave, they are open to discussing a loan move with the 23-year-old keen on getting regular minutes under his belt elsewhere.

Smith Rowe became the first Hale End graduate since Cesc Fabregas to score at least ten times in a single top-flight season during the 2021/22 campaign.

David Moyes' side are also in talks with Manchester City over signing Kalvin Phillips on loan.

“I’m feeling good now,” said Smith Rowe.

“I’ve been back in training for a while and it’s all good. I don’t think I did anything differently in rehab, I just felt a lot better with it this time. At first, we thought the injury would be a bit longer, but I started feeling really good after a few weeks, so then I kicked on and I’m feeling good now as well.

“I’m not thinking about the injury. It’s behind me and I want to kick on by getting on the pitch.”

Smith Rowe has two years left on his current contract and remains keen on fighting for his place at Emirates Stadium.
