Arsenal are preparing to lodge a renewed offer for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo, London World can reveal.

It’s understood the Gunners will make a bid similar to the £75 million package that was rejected by Brighton in January.

The Seagulls were adamant Caicedo wasn’t for sale back in the winter but are now open to negotiations after making a promise to the player.

Roberto De Zerbi and the Albion board worked together to ensure Caicedo would remain at the Amex for the rest of the 2022-23 campaign, and he went on to sign a new deal.

It worked out, as Brighton went on to finish in the top six, securing Europa League qualification for the first time in their 122-year history.

An agreement was made with the Ecuadorian, however, to let him go in the summer if a substantial offer came in. Albion will therefore be willing to listen to offers.

Sources close to the player suggest Caicedo is feeling relaxed about the situation. No personal terms have been agreed upon as it stands.
