It’s been a successful campaign for Arsenal so far. They currently sit top of the Premier League on equal points with Liverpool and have reached the quarter-final stages of the UEFA Champions League, one win away from securing a place in the final four.

However, attentions have already turned to what could happen this summer with sporting director Edu lining up several potential transfers. It was reported yesterday that the Gunners were leading the way in nailing down Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres this summer and if this is to be the case, the Emirates side may well need to move a few players on to raise funds and free up space.

One such star has been suggested to be Gabriel Jesus with reports from TuttoJuve indicating the Brazilian could secure a loan move elsewhere and the Serie A giants Juventus are monitoring the situation, ready to strike if the opportunity presents itself.

Joining Arsenal in 2022, Jesus immediately hit flying form and played a huge part in the side being title contenders. However, he has since been struck by numerous injuries and has spent three spells on the sidelines, accumulating 180 missed days of football.

With ex-Chelsea star Kai Havertz joining the Gunners at the start of this campaign, he has quickly become their go-to striker with Jesus having to play either on the wing or remain on the bench.

Additionally, as the Gunners plan to bring in a new striker to their mix this season, a shadow has been cast on Jesus’ future at the club with TuttoJuve reporting on a potential solution to the problem. The report also notes that Jesus wishes to honour his long term contract and has no intention of quitting, but a loan move could be secured in order to gain more time on the field.

It is common knowledge that Arteta is a huge fan of the 27-year-old’s work and the striker-cum-winger’s versatility on the ball gives the Gunners boss plenty of options every single week thus making a potential loan move unlikely.

However, having paid £45 million for him, Jesus is their second-highest earner taking home £265,000 each week. With three years still left on his contract, the Gunners could cash in exceptionally well if they were to consider selling their former Manchester City star.
