The Denmark international joined the Bundesliga club last summer and has made an impressive impact during his first year with the club.

The midfielder made 39 appearances in all competitions as Frankfurt on the Europa League with a penalty shoot-out win over Scottish side Glasgow Rangers.

There were personal honours for Lindstrom after he was named as Bundesliga ‘Rookie of the Month’ in December and landed the ‘Rookie of the Season’ award in May.

His momentum has continued into the current season and Lindstrom racked up another personal milestone earlier this month when the netted his first Champions League goal in Frankfurt’s 1-0 win at Marseille.

With his form for club and country continuing to impress, the midfielder has attracted interest from Arsenal as they look to continue their rebuild under Mikel Arteta.

Discussing the Gunners interest, Lindstrom told Danish outlet Tipsbladet: “It’s a huge confidence boost, it’s one of the biggest things as a footballer, so I’m obviously very happy.

“It is hard not to read along when articles appear on your Facebook, Instagram and other social media. So of course, I read it, but I don’t take it too seriously.

“The transfer window is not open at all right now, so I’m just giving it my all and waiting to see what happens. It’s always great to play in the biggest league in the world, but whether Arsenal is right for me is hard to say.

“Right now, I’m in a good place in Frankfurt, but it’s great that there are clubs like them that are watching me. Something may have to happen at some point, but right now I’m fine.”
