Rio Ferdinand is pleased with Thomas Partey’s form for Arsenal after the midfielder scored another long range goal and helped the Gunners to a thumping 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The Ghanaian midfielder has been the glue that binds the Arsenal team together and it’s no coincidence that they suffered their only defeat in the Premier League so far when he was out against Manchester United.

Partey is considered an untouchable in the Arsenal team as is Caemiro who has transformed Manchester United’s midfield with his experience and skill. The Brazilian midfielder was again colossal as United grinded out a 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League over the weekend.

The Champions League winner is regarded by many as the best midfielder in the league and his performances have backed this claim even though Ferdinand amids Arsenal’s Thomas Partey is not far behind in terms of quality and ability.

The former Manchester United man said on Vibe with Five: “I mean no one is saying Thomas Partey is not a good player he is actually a very good player.

“He is a very good player and obviously he’s been very good for Arsenal this season and I like him and what he does with the ball and off it so really good.

“I just think Casemiro has also done very well for us and his experience and quality is there for all to see.”

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League after losing it momentarily due to Manchester City winning against Leicester on Saturday.
