The events of Sunday afternoon could prove pivotal in the Premier League title race after Arsenal and Liverpool suffered shock home defeats.
It was reigning champions Manchester City that were sat at the top of the table on Saturday night after Mateo Kovacic, Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol all found the net as Pep Guardiola’s side eased to a 5-1 win against Luton Town.
There was further good news for City when an Eberechi Eze goal condemned Liverpool to a home defeat against Crystal Palace and Arsenal also fluffed their lines when two goals in the final ten minutes from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins gave Champions League chasing Aston Villa all three points at the Emirates Stadium.
But what does that all mean for the Premier League title race? We look at the latest predicted table put together by the stats experts at FootballWP - and it shows it isn’t all bad news for Mikel Arteta’s men.
