VAR has continued to cause controversy in the Premier League this season

The final weekend of Premier League action before the October international break is almost upon us after a week of discussion which has been dominated by VAR.

Tottenham Hotspur recorded a 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend in a game overshadowed by refereeing decisions which saw the PGMOL admit a ‘significant human error’ over the call to rule out Luis Diaz’s goal.

It has led to plenty of debate and controversy as VAR continues to divide opinion. Spurs sit second in the table after a strong start and kick off the weekend’s action with a trip to Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea travel to Burnley while Fulham host Sheffield United at Craven Cottage. Brentford make the trip to Manchester United as Crystal Palace take on Nottingham Forest at Selhurst Park. On Sunday, West Ham welcome Newcastle United to the London Stadium before Arsenal host Manchester City in the 4.30pm kick off.
