Arsenal splashed out more than £200million in a bid to close the gap between themselves and Manchester City, while Chelsea made a late trolley dash to outspend their London rivals again as they look to put a disappointing season of last behind them. Tottenham have also spent considerably, but their books have been balanced by the sale of Harry Kane.
