A polarising figure at Arsenal is set to remain at the club for the time being - meanwhile, a Gunners transfer target is ‘pushing’ for a move.

In today’s Arsenal transfer news, one of their main targets is set to push for a deal in the January transfer window - however, the Gunners are far from alone in their pursuit of the player.

Additionally, a controversial figure at the Emirates Stadium is now set to remain at the club, as one of his potential suitors have now withdrawn their interest in the player - but he could still leave the club if a new buyer throws their hat into the ring.

Ivan Toney ‘pushing’ for Arsenal move

Ivan Toney is currently one of the most coveted footballers in the Premier League. Arsenal are just one of several high-profile clubs who are interested in the Brentford striker - as are Chelsea.

According to a recent report from 90min, both the Gunners and the Blues have held talks with the player regarding the possibility of a move in January. Brentford are demanding a £80 million fee for his services, but Toney himself is discontented with this - he will reportedly push for a move, which could force the Bees to let him go for a smaller fee.

Currently, Toney is serving a lengthy ban after breaching FA regulations for gambling on football - he will be able to play once again on January 16, 2024.

Chelsea no longer interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale

Chelsea have been recently linked with a transfer move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale - however, a recent revelation from Fabrizio Romano on X indicates that the Blues will not be making a move for the former Sheffield United shot-stopper.

Romano mentions that the Blues are still hunting for a goalkeeper - however, Ramsdale is not on their list and no talks between the two parties have taken place as of yet.

Ramsdale has become Arsenal’s second-choice goalkeeper over the course of the 2023/24 season, with Arteta showing an increased preference for David Raya. He could still leave the Emirates Stadium in January - but it seems that he will not be going to Chelsea.
