A gutted Piers Morgan didn't enjoy his Sunday afternoon out at the Emirates Stadium as he watched a "horribly lacklustre, passion-devoid, spiritless, pathetic performance" from his Arsenal side, but at least the controversial TV star took in the 3-0 defeat against Brighton in style.

The TalkTV host and former Britain's Got Talent judge is one of The Gunners' most high-profile fans with his social media accounts full of rantings and ravings about the side along with high-profile football feuds with Tottenham Hotspur bigwig Sir Alan Sugar.

Morgan slammed the team on Twitter after a crushing defeat to the Seagulls on Sunday that looked to end any final hopes of Arsenal's first title win since 2004.

The star admitted he was "very happy to see the massive improvement made this season but very unhappy with the way we choked the league when it was ours for the taking."

He added: "It's not 'success' to be eight points clear, then fail to win two consecutive games when we were 2-0 up, go 2-0 down in 10 mins at home to the worst team in the league, get humiliated at City and surrender in a pitiful manner to Brighton at home today. It's failure, and we bottled it."

Morgan's exasperation is no doubt felt by fans across the globe but where they may have watched from the regular Emirates Stadium seats or on the sofa at home, the celebrity enjoyed the action from the prestigious Diamond Club.

Sharing a snap on Instagram prior to the game, Morgan sat down to enjoy a five-course meal curated by Raymond Blanc in the ground's most luxurious suite.

Arsenal keep things very hush, hush about the Diamond Suite with very little information available online. For membership and prices, those interested are asked to call the club and have that discussion in person.

The Arsenal website does state: "The Diamond Club is a private members club at Emirates Stadium. Comprising of an open-plan restaurant area, private dining booths, armchair lounge and a fabulous back-lit onyx bar with perfect pitch views, the luxury restaurant offers a fine dining experience overseen by Raymond Blanc and his team.

"A bespoke complimentary five-course à la carte menu is available every matchday. Members also receive complimentary drinks including Champagne, a wide selection of premium wines, beers, house spirits and soft drinks in the Diamond Club throughout the matchday."

Artifex London report that the area is an invite-only way to watch the match that costs a whopping £25,000 to join, "with annual membership costing an identical sum". As well as access to the bar, food and concierge services, the site claims members can also travel to away games on the plane with players.

The food is a real attraction of the exclusive Diamond Club with revered chef Raymond Blanc at the helm of the menu and dishes being offered. Arsenal are selling packages to watch the Arctic Monkeys at the Emirates Stadium this summer from £790 and the sample menu published on that event makes for tummy-rumbling reading.

Guest such as Piers are offered Prime Black Angus tenderloin, Pan-fried Atlantic salmon, San Francisco sourdough brochette, Beef Sliders, Bourbon panna cotta and so much more. For that show, customers also have complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks right the way through the night.

Explaining his culinary mission for the Emirates Stadium on his website, Raymond Blanc and his team said: "The vision was to capture and contemporise Highbury’s Art Deco feel with a space comprising of an open-plan restaurant, private dining booths, armchair lounge and a back-lit onyx bar. And one must not forget the outdoor reserved seating area with leather armchairs, heated seats and pitch-perfect views.
