Arsenal are set to make the relatively short trip up the M40 to take on Oxford United in the third round of the FA Cup. Most of the ties have already been played, with upsets aplenty.

The winner of this tie will face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, who breezed past Chelsea as they kicked off their FA Cup campaign for the season. Goals from Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden saw City progress.

Arsenal have great history in the competition, and have won it more than any other club, lifting the famous trophy 14 times. Their last win came at Wembley in 2020, as they beat Chelsea who were managed by Frank Lampard at the time.

This is Arsenal’s first game in the FA Cup this season but it marks the third for Oxford United. The League One outfit previously beat non-league Woking and League Two side Exeter to reach the third round.

Arsenal could rest several key players for the clash tonight and hand valuable first team minutes to youngsters or squad players. The Gunners are still top of the Premier League by five points and will look to end an 19-year drought.

When does Oxford United v Arsenal kick off?
