The international break has now concluded with Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta eagerly awaiting their returning football stars in anticipation for what could be the ultimate Premier League showdown this weekend.
With the Gunners sitting at the top of the league on the same number of points as Liverpool and the Citizens only one point below, a win for either side could well have detrimental effects on who lifts the trophy when May comes around. Guardiola's squad will be looking to recreate their treble success of 2023 while Arteta is looking to bring Arsenal their first league trophy since 2004.
The recent international break, however, was not without its worries and the Etihad boss will be keen to ascertain whether two of his key defenders will be available for selection when they welcome the Gunners this Saturday. Doubt: On March 15, Guardiola said: "Kevin is not ready. He already played in Anfield with some problems. But he's getting better. He's not ready for tomorrow; it's better to take care."
4. Ederson - Manchester City
Doubt - Ederson's condition has been monitored over the break and he could well return this weekend following international absence.
