Man Utd star issues 'tough' verdict on Arsenal and makes Emirates Stadium pitch claim

A key Manchester United star has been speaking ahead of his side’s FA Cup date with Arsenal.

Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund has been speaking about his side’s FA Cup clash with Arsenal on Sunday. It has been a difficult season for the Red Devils, who find themselves 13th place and only seven points above the bottom three with more than half of the Premier League season already played.

Arsenal’s campaign has been difficult in other ways, with the Gunners still six points behind leaders Liverpool having played a game more, meaning they are potentially nine points off the title pace.

United relied on the FA Cup to sneak into Europe last season after finishing outside of the top seven, winning the trophy against Manchester City in the final. They will be looking to do the same again this season, with the competition again one of their limited opportunities of getting into Europe, along with winning this season’s Europa League, which will be an even bigger task.

The Red Devils have been handed a tricky FA Cup draw, though, facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, and striker Hojlund is well aware of the difficulty of the test. "It's a tough first opponent and away as well," he told United club media. "But we're going to go for it and, and try to go for it again this year.

"It's a good game and the Emirates is a nice stadium. The pitch is very good. I had my debut there as well. So it's a special place for me and a good opponent. I'm looking forward to it. It can be [a good thing that we played there not long ago], if we do it right. I think we need to be sharp at set-pieces, they have been been very good on that, and they scored twice from that last time around.

"So yeah, very focused there. Just trying to keep improving and do what the manager's saying and I think we will be good."
