Manchester United have reportedly submitted a double offer to sign Bayern Munich stars Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui this summer. That’s according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, who says the Red Devils are looking to take advantage of the fact Bayern have made both players available this summer.
Meanwhile, Ref Devils boss Erik ten Hag has warned of the dangers of FFP and how the rules are impacting transfers. He said: “We are always looking for having squad depth cover for all the positions as possible double, because we know we go into the season and it's a survival of the fittest. But it needs to be the right player and finance, FFP all fits. These things we have to take into mind otherwise we can't bring a good squad on the pitch.”
Liverpool ‘want four’
Liverpool are said to be eyeing as many as four new transfers after getting off to a slow start in the summer transfer window. According to The Independent, new Reds boss Arne Slot wants a new signing in every major outfield department.
In particular, Liverpool are said to be prioritising deals for a new number six to anchor the midfield and a new wide player. Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon has been linked, but reports claim the Magpies are demanding £80million plus add-ons, perhaps putting paid to any deal this summer.

While we are on Newcastle, NUFC Blog have reported that the Magpies are not only ruling out a sale of Gordon, but they are targeting the likes of Marc Guehi, Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Neto as they look to kickstart their summer business.
The Magpies have had their hands tied due to big spending over recent years and the presence of Profit and Sustainability rules, but they are expected to get deals done over the course of the month.
ESR deal praised
Stan Collymore has praised Fulham’s upcoming signing of Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe. “Fulham’s a great club, they’ve got all of the facilities that a high profile player would want, and Emile Smith Rowe wouldn’t have to move very far,” he told CaughtOffside. “[…] I think Fulham will be a revelation for Smith Rowe, and as long as he doesn’t go ‘I’ve come down a step because I was at Arsenal, now I’m at Fulham,’ everything is there for him to progress. From an England point of view, a new coach is coming in and you’ve got a player there that’s got undoubted ability, and who should be wounded enough leaving Arsenal to basically stick two fingers up to Arteta and show him what he’s missing.”
