Liverpool vs Arsenal early injury news as 5 ruled out and 1 doubt

Arsenal are back in action on Sunday when they face Premier League champions Liverpool. The Gunners lost to PSG in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday night, meaning they will not win any silverware this season.
Liverpool have already bagged their title, and the Gunners will have to give them a guard of honour through gritted teeth this weekend, hoping to be on the receiving end of one this time next season. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams.

Hide AdJoe Gomez - Out
Gomez won’t return for at least another week. Slot said back in April: “If his recovery goes well, he would be able to [play] maybe in the last one or two games of the season. He is still not training with us yet, but he is coming closer and closer.”
Jorginho - Out
Jorginho is set to miss the rest of the season. Arteta confirmed recently: “Jorginho is still out. Jorginho’s got a bit more complicated than expected. Thankfully, he's fine, he's feeling good, he's recovering well, but yeah, it was a bit more than what we wanted. I think I'll leave it to the doctor if he wants to clarify or judge that.” Asked if the injury is season-ending, Arteta added: “I think so, yeah. Hopefully, if everything goes well in the next week or so, I think he will gradually integrate in the team, yeah. “
Gabriel Jesus - Out
Jesus is out for the season with a ruptured ACL, and he is not likely to return until towards the end of 2025. A statement confirmed at the time: “Further to being substituted during our match with Man United, Gabriel Jesus has received extensive assessments, which have confirmed that he has sustained an injury to the ACL in his left knee.”
Takehiro Tomiyasu - Out
Tomiyasu is out for the season after requiring an extra surgery. A statement confirmed at the time: “Despite an initial procedure, followed by a RTT, Tomi continued to have issues with his knee, resulting in a further corrective surgical procedure. He will now begin his rehab programme, which is expected to be completed towards the end of this year.”

Havertz was thought to be out for the season, but he now looks as though he might return before the end of the campaign. Arteta responded when asked if that was possible: “I think so. I think if everything goes the way it's going at the moment and the way it's planned, I think he will have a chance to play a few games here in the season.” It’s unclear whether Havertz will be risked given the Gunners won’t be heading to the Champions League final, but based on Arteta’s quotes, the German might have an outside chance here.
Gabriel Magalhaes - Out
Gabriel is out for the season. A statement confirmed at the time: “Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days and immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, with the aim to be ready for the start of next season.”
