The 30-year-old is back at Arsenal and taking his coaching badges as he looks to combine playing and getting ready for life after football.

The midfielder told The Athletic: “The players’ mindset has been fantastic.

“There are no egos and everyone works hard every single day for training.

“There are no problems - not even though we have lost matches.

“ When you’re in a club that’s lost five or six games - I’ve tried that - things can get a little dirty and the players start saying ugly things to each other and pointing fingers.

“There has been nothing of the sort. It’s actually quite unique how the players have shown unity.

“If you do not work hard, you will not fit in. You know that right away, and you have to accept that.

“Everyone (in AGF) is good people, and everyone speaks English, so in that sense it has been very easy to fall for.

“It’s a place I’m happy and why not I could stay if the new manager wants me.”

Wilshere started his career at Arsenal and burst onto the scene in 200.

He is famously remembered for his blistering performance against Barcelona and even though his career has been hit by injuries, the midfielder is still highly respected within the world of football.
