'I am honestly not' - Jorginho issues verdict on Arsenal's Raheem Sterling transfer

Arsenal star Jorginho has been speaking about Raheem Sterling’s recent arrival from Chelsea. Sterling was signed on a season-long loan deal from local rivals Chelsea after he was frozen out of Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Sterling was involved in pre-season in the United States but was then cast aside and made available for transfer on the eve of the new season. Fortunately for the winger, Arsenal needed more competition out wide and welcomed him to their potential title bid on deadline day.

One player who is used to the Spanish coach’s style already is Jorginho, another player who left Chelsea for Arsenal, briefly crossing paths with Sterling at Stamford Bridge.
The defensive midfielder has now been asked about the arrival of Sterling on the Seaman Says podcast with Betway. “You know the club – especially Mikel and Edu with what they are doing – you know who they are bringing is just right, so something good is going to happen for sure,” he replied. “Then when you see there's a player that you know, that you played with and you know the qualities already, you know how they can help. You feel like you know how to give him the ball already, so you don't need to get to know him.
“I am honestly not there looking at the news and stuff like that, because it’s mad. It’s different now, there’s even too much information there, and sometimes it's not even true. It was the day of the game, I woke up and people [were talking], I was like: “What?!”
“Then we found out that he was coming, and he's going to be great for us with his qualities. He’s won already, I think it was a good signing and I think he can add a lot to the team.

So I'm trying to listen and learn as much as I can. He starts from himself, demanding from himself when he comes in and the way he speaks and the way he gives information, how much information he gives. For me, he’s a really, really, really good coach and he's going to win quite a lot.”
Jorginho’s transition
Jorginho added on his own transition to life at Arsenal: “It happened really quick, because it was in the last two days of the transfer window closing. I saw that my time at Chelsea was basically finished there. I didn't feel part of the project anymore, and sometimes you just need to accept and move on. When I had the call, I didn't think twice because I knew that Mikel [Arteta] tried to sign me before and it didn't happen. I saw the way the team was playing, which suits my qualities, and I believed that I could add to the team so it was a yes, straight away.
“That (belief from the manager) helps a lot. You know where you are going, what to expect, and everything is so organised and projected in a way that you see that it's going to work out well. Being part of a project like that is something you'd be proud of. So there was no hesitation. “
