The Gunners are reportedly keen on Austrian international Marcel Sabitzer and are plotting a summer move to bring the 28-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.

Sabitzer has endured an underwhelming season with Bayern after joining the club from Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig last summer and is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

Arsenal could turn their attentions from Ruben Neves to a 'cheaper alternative' in Bayern Munich's Marcel Sabitzer, with the German club ready to part ways with the midfielder for as little as £12m. Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are said to be monitoring the situation - but German outlet Sport Bild have revealed Arsenal are also interested.

The report also suggests Bayern will allow Sabitzer to depart at the end of the season and that will give the Gunners some hope they can secure one of their main transfer targets.

Here’s the rest of the latest Gunners transfer news:

Newcastle United are said to be keen to reunite Paqueta with former team-mate Bruno Guimaraes and PSG are willing to offer the attacking midfielder an opportunity to remain in France.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola has reported Arsenal remain interested in the £65million-rated star - but may have some reservations over his asking price.

Serie A star likely to snub Gunners move in favour of Premier League rivals

Arsenal have been named as a possible destination for Inter’s Argentina international striker Lautaro Martinez.

Despite signing a contract extension, Inter Milan are expecting another 'indecent' offer for striker Lautaro Martinez in the summer. However, the Serie A club will allow him to leave for the right price, with Arsenal sat in pole position. The frontman has forged a fearsome reputation ever since he moved to the Serie A giants from Racing Club in a £22.5million deal in July 2018.

He signed a new contract to keep him at Inter until 2026 last October - but that has not prevented further speculation over his future.

The 24-year-old has a tally of 19 goals in 42 appearances this season and is under consideration as a replacement for Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette as the duo approach the final months of the Arsenal contracts.

However, Italian outlet CalcioMercato have reported Martinez is ready to ‘snub’ a move to the Emirates and is also set to ignore an approach from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid in the hope of securing a move to Liverpool or Manchester City.
