With the game surely not too long away, the official Fantasy Premier League twitter account, that boasts almost four million followers, is teasing the prices of players for the upcoming season.

What is FPL?

In short, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is a fantasy league, where you can pit your wits against everyone who plays, or in turn make your own mini league with friends and loved ones.

You must pick a squad of 15 players from the 2022/2023 Premier League, who score points for your team based on their performances for their clubs in PL matches.

The budget for your squad is 100 million, and you must choose your options wisely to assemble the 15 man squad for that budget.

Players are priced based on their performance from the last season, which therefore means that the better players are more expensive.

You can also pick a captain, and if your captain scores, assists or keeps a clean sheet they will be awarded more points than if they were a normal player in your team.

At times through the season you can also use the ‘triple captain’ option, which triples the score of your captain for one or two games maximum, depending on when you activate the option.

After every game week, you’re also allowed a maximum of one free transfer. You can make more transfers if needed, but you will be docked four points off of your overall score for the season, which could prove costly.
