It’s another new week, and we move that little bit closer to the new Premier League season, with pre-season friendlies now underway and with pre-season tours beginning for many clubs. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will all head away this summer as they all continue their bids to grow their respective brands.
In the meantime, work will continue behind the scenes in a bid to add new players and to offload others. With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news from ‘insider’ Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with a move for Athletic Club and Spain star Nico Williams star over recent weeks, but it appears as though Barcelona hold the advantage at this stage. Romano tweeted: “Barcelona are only focused on Nico Williams, this remains clear plan with more contacts scheduled this week to get green light on personal terms.
“After meeting Nico's agent last week, Deco has new round of talks ready. Other targets will be discussed after Nico deal.”
On Chelsea’s interest, he added on the PlayBack Show “Chelsea’s dream on the wing is Nico Williams but they know Barcelona are ahead and have a ‘match point’. Also, to activate options like Nico or Victor Osimhen, Chelsea still wants the overall package of the deal to be lower.”
Hojbjerg deal incoming
Tottenham look set to offload midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg to Olympique Marseille with Ange Postecoglou wanting to add more quality to his midfield this summer.

“Talks ongoing between all parties involved to get Riccardo Calafiori deal sealed. Bologna and FC Basel, discussing of 50% sell-on clause payment terms again today. Arsenal, waiting for green light.”

Santos plan
One South American investment Chelsea have already made is Andrey Santos, with the defender having been loaned out over recent years. And having done well with Strasbourg, Santos will return there for the coming season, given he is not ready to break into the starting XI at Stamford Bridge just yet.
Romano tweeted: “Andrey Santos will return to Strasbourg on loan after going on a US tour with Chelsea; deal done. BVB and more clubs were keen on signing him, but Andrey spoke to Liam Rosenior about the style of play implemented at Chelsea and Strasbourg. Andrey is a big part of Chelsea’s future plans.”
