He spent the second half of last season on loan at Wigan after a difficult spell at Sparta Rotterdam, and has featured regularly for Arsenal's under-21 side.

The Tunisian international's contract expires in the summer of 2025 and it's unclear whether Arsenal have plans to extend his stay at the club.

Meanwhile, Marquinhos is close to joining Fluminense on loan with an option to buy.
