Arsenal’s pursuit of Mykhalo Mudryk saw London rivals Chelsea hijack the deal after paying an £87million fee for the Ukraine international. Trossard may not be first choice but he is a Premier League ready, efficient winger who provides a much needed option for the Gunners.

2. Jakub Kiwior - Spezia, £20m

The 22-year-old is a young versatile defender who will be mostly used as a squad player this season, with Gabriel and William Saliba first choice centre backs.

3. Jorginho - Chelsea, £12m

An abundance of top flight experience, reliability and leadership. The former Blues vice-captain will increase Arteta’s options in midfield with Mohamed Elneny ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

Total spend: £49m

Outgoings

4. Brooke Norton-Cuffy - Coventry, loan

Norton-Cuffy made 20 appearances in the Championship for Rotherham before joining Coventry earlier in the month. The highly-rated right back is seen considered one of Arsenal’s top prospects and will assessed when he returns for pre-season in the summer.

5. Miguel Azeez - Wigan, loan

Joined the Latics after a short spell with Spanish side Ibiza. Fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal but there are still hopes that he can fulfil his potential with the club.

6. Harry Clarke - Ipswich, undisclosed

A permanent transfer for the defender who has spent the most recent years of his career on loan at Oldham Athletic, Ross County and Hibernian.

7. Marquinhos - Norwich, loan

The Brazilian has made six appearances in all competitions this season and will look to secure regular minutes at Carrow Road.

8. Omar Rekik - Wigan, loan

Arsenal terminated his loan at Sparta Rotterdam due to a lack of game time. Will be desperate for regular game time with the Latics who currently bottom of the Championship.

9. Tom Smith - Colchester, loan

The 21-year-old goalkeeper will spend the second half of the season on loan in League Two as he continues his development in first team football.

10. Nathan Butler-Oyedeji - Accrington, loan

The youngster has four goals in 14 Premier League 2 appearances this season and was previously named in the first team matchday squad twice. An important loan for the 20-year-old who will look to continue his development in League One.

11. Albert Sambi Lokonga - Crystal Palace, loan

A much-needed move for the Belgium international who has struggled to break into the starting line-up this season. Arsenal had rejected an offer from Monaco for the midfielder last week, but agreed to the move once Jorginho’s signing was finalised.

12. Cedric Soares - Fulham, loan

The Portuguese defender will spend the rest of the campaign with Marco Silva’s side. Arsenal granted the move due to Cedric’s lack of game time and look likely to move him on permanently in the summer.
