Rahman Osman is in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup and has provided his latest player ratings after England’s 0-0 draw with USA.
England were held to a 0-0 draw by the USA at the Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Both teams showed desire and intent but they had to share the points with the Three Lions now hoping they can get back to winning ways against Wales next week to seal qualification.
England striker Harry Kane missed a late header that would have secured victory but the USA deserved something from the game after hitting the crossbar earlier on and playing well generally. Here is how we rated all the English players out there.

1. Jordan Pickford - 6
Didn’t have much to do in the first half but saw the ball come off his cross bar. The second half was almost the same with everything being played in-front of him. Kept the distribution going Photo: Getty Images

2. Kieran Tripper - 5.5
Stayed in the game for a long time but did not have the influence he would have loved to have up the attacking end. Been a tough night for the Newcastle star Photo: Getty Images

3. Luke Shaw - 7
His transformation has been incredible and he plays with so much freedom and confidence. Made a brilliant run into the box and was unlucky Mason could not finish. England’s best player on the night. Photo: Getty Images

4. Harry Maguire - 7
Showed quick feet in the early minutes of the game and grew into it from there with his passing and excellent decision making. Great block midway through the first half and great headers in when England were under the so much pressure Photo: Getty Images
