England have booked a place in the quarter finals of Euro 2024 by the skin of their teeth in a dramatic round of 16 meeting with Slovakia in Germany.
The Three Lions looked set to be packing their bags home tonight after a whimpering 90 minutes of effort. Slovakia took the lead in the first half through Ivan Schranz and weren't made to work too hard in defending that goal.
However, it was a moment of brilliance from Jude Bellingham deep into injury time that cast England a lifeline. The Real Madrid man leapt to volley home a Marc Guehi header in style, sending the match to extra time.
England seized momentum just one minute into extra time as Harry Kane finally found the target with his head, nodding past Martin Dubravka to put the favourites ahead and into the next round.
Players from London sides Chelsea, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal all featured against Slovakia. Here's how they rated.

1. GK - Jordan Pickford - 6
A calamity of errors in front of him led to the goal and he didn't have much else to do. Hardly a calm presence behind the defence as pressure grew but not one at fault for the first 90 mins. | AFP via Getty Images

2. LB - Kieran Trippier - 4
Found himself with a couple of good opportunities, blasting a bobbling ball over in the first half and slamming a free kick into the wall in the second. His injury was almost relief for England fans as it finally prompted a substitute from Southgate. | Getty Images

3. CB - Marc Guehi - 6
Was beaten in the air in the run-up to the Slovakia opener. Covered a Kyle Walker mistake well in the first half and his early yellow was somewhat a result of Trippier's pass. Got his head on the throw-in to tee up the Bellingham volley and change the game. | AFP via Getty Images

4. CB - John Stones - 4
That was not the John Stones that England fans know. A deer in the headlights as Slovakia took the lead and was away with the fairies in a nail-biting second half moment as England nearly conceded an audacious shot from range.
