England manager Gareth Southgate made a brave call as he fielded three at the back against Switzerland on Saturday with Kieran Trippier and Bukayo Saka deployed as wing backs.
The system made the Three Lions look a much improved side from the off but the team struggled to make promising moves count before Switzerland opened the scoring. Arsenal star Saka then pulled one back to send the game into extra time before England triumphed on penalties.

Next up is a meeting with Holland in the semi-final on Wednesday night, with the Netherlands having come from behind to defeat Turkey at the weekend.
