It is phone call day for Gareth Southgate as he prepares to announce his England squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Today is the day Southgate will make his 26-man squad final today with the World Cup kicking off for the Three Lions in under two weeks. There are some big decisions for the england boss, with the likes of James Maddison, James Warde-Prowse, Tammy Abraham and others all in question.
Southgate will inform his players before the official announcement at 2pm, but ahead of that point, there is a ‘leaked’ list that has made its list onto The Guardian, and it’s one that tips Maddison to miss out. Meanwhile, seven London-based players are set to make the list. Take a look at the full ‘leaked’ squad below. Just remember that the official announcement is not until 2pm.
