West Ham midfielder played his final professional football match last month against Brighton & Hove Albion, bringing his reign as the Premier League’s longest serving player to an end (17 years, 8 months, 4 weeks).
The ‘crown’ that the 35-year-old held with the Hammers has now been passed onto Everton’s Seamus Coleman, while a Tottenham star also sits in the top five longest serving players list.
