Nevertheless, let’s take a look at the latest surrounding Arsenal’s pursuit of Vlahovic and whether a move for the Serbian is likely to materialise.
According to Gazetta dello Sport, Arteta is a huge admirer of the 21-year-old and has bid €55 million plus Lucas Torreira for the forward. The latter is currently on loan at the Serie A team from the Gunners.

The Italian journalist claims, despite Fiorentina set to sign Krzysztof Piatek on loan this month, the Polish forward is not being seen as a replacement for Vlahovic.
He tweeted: “Fiorentina sources clarify Krzysztof Piatek is not considered Dusan Vlahović replacement for this window.
“Piatek will join on loan with buy option from Hertha - not permanent move. Medical tomorrow.
“Vlahović situation still quiet for January, as of now.”

Arsenal’s form going into the window has been great, winning five of their last six fixtures, including a 5-1 drubbing of Sunderland in the League Cup quarter-final.
Fiorentina currently sit seventh in Serie A after 19 games, six points off a top four place.
Given Vlahovic’s form so far, it would make sense for the Italian outfit to do all they can to keep hold of him until at least the end of the campaign.
