In today’s transfer round-up, we focus on Arsenal and Chelsea. Take a look below.

Olise ‘very close’

Chelsea are said to be closing in on the signing of Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise.

Journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport of the possible deal: “There is genuine interest. Crystal Palace don’t want to sell, but Olise is very close to agreeing terms with Chelsea.

“Obviously, players can agree terms have multiple clubs, so the most important thing in all of this is whether a deal can be reached with Crystal Palace, but he is a very concrete option for Chelsea. Therefore, he is one to watch over the coming weeks.”

Arsenal are said to be prioritising exits over the signing of Ajax star Mohammed Kudus.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who told GiveMeSport: “At the moment there is still no bid or direct conversation with Ajax yet.

“So we can’t speak about the negotiation yet. There is an interest, but I think for Arsenal now, the priority is to get rid of some players. They signed many players, many important players, at the beginning of the summer transfer window. So, it’s important now to focus on the outgoings and then we will see.”

Arsenal have already spent around £200million this summer, so exits will be important at this point.
