Arsenal want £13m discount on player who is 'keen' on transfer
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they prepare to face Villarreal.
Arsenal are now preparing for a pre-season clash with Villarreal in North London after their return from their tour of Asia. The Gunners are now closing in on the start of the new Premier League season, and just two friendlies remain.

Mikel Arteta has been handed new signings aplenty, and we are now likely to see a number of exits, while there could still be another key addition. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.
Eze update
Arsenal did not activate Eberechi Eze’s release clause on Friday night, and they reportedly believe they can get a deal done before the £68million release clause, which is no longer active.
Ben Jacobs told TalkSport: “Midnight heading into Saturday, the release clause expires because it’s two weeks before the start of the Premier League season. Arsenal already communicated to Crystal Palace that they don’t want to trigger it now. The expectation is that they will still bid between now and the end of the window, and that they will bid below the soon-to-be expiring release clause. As a consequence, it will fall on Crystal Palace, because they can shut the door, demand the previous clause is met or entertain a lower offer.
“Arsenal are looking at Elanga, who left Nottingham Forest, and with Eze only having two years left on his contract, they think £55million might be competitive if Crystal Palace choose to sell. What could complicated this is if Marc Guehi goes first, and we know that Liverpool are interested, and Palace could then shut the door on Eze.
“Oliver Glasner spoke about how he is disappointed with the summer so far, and the only thing that will make it worse is if Guehi and Eze leave and they are scrambling at the end of the window. Eze won’t be easy for Arsenal, but one thing is for sure - the player is keen on the move.”
Haaland responds to MLS
Erling Haaland has responded to Myles Lewis-Skelly, who mocked the Manchester City striker when he copied his lotus celebration after scoring in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s men.
"They won the game 5-1. So yeah, they got me," Haaland told TIME. "If he wanted to use that moment to mock me, that’s fair enough for him. Whatever he wants to do, he can do."
