For the first time since 2010/11, Arsenal have reached the quarter-final stages of the UEFA Champions League competition and they face their old UCL rivals Bayern Munich. The two sides have met 12 times in total in Europe’s top-flight tournament with the Gunners coming out on top just three times.
However, it has been far from Bayern Munich’s best season with Thomas Tuchel’s side sitting 16 points off the Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen having recently endured two successive defeats - the former of which was at home to Borussia Dortmund.
Ahead of this week’s European clash, however, Bayern have been handed a huge boost with five players returning to training after injury. With just over 24 hours to go before the Gunners and Bundesliga giants come face-to-face once more, here is the latest injury news from both camps...
