The Gunners kicked off proceedings with a 4-0 thrashing of Reading, while Tottenham Hotspur edged out Leicester City with a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

After their primary title contenders slipped up in their first game, Arsenal will hope to put further daylight between themselves and Chelsea while Spurs go in search of their first ever win over their North London rivals.
