It’s an all Premier League affair in the Carabao Cup as Arsenal host Brighton. It will be the first meeting of the clubs this season, as they have not yet played each other in the league and will not face off until New Years Eve.

It’s the penultimate game for both sides, before the long six week break for Premier League clubs to accommodate for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Gunners come into the game in great form.

They have won their last three games in all competitions, scoring seven goals in the process and conceding none. Their last win was a 1-0 win away from home against Chelsea, with central defender Gabriel Magalhães grabbing the only goal.

After a tricky start under new gaffer Roberto de Zerbi, Brighton are now in a decent run of form, and currently sit sixth in the table. Their last win was a dramatic one, as they beat Wolves at Molineux 3-2.

Arsenal are continuing to defy expectations and currently sit top of the Premier League. Their closest challengers remain Manchester City, who briefly returned to the top as Arsenal played a day later on Sunday.

When does Arsenal v Brighton kick off?

Arsenal will play Brighton at the Emirates stadium, their home since 2006. The game will kick off at 7:45pm.

Despite not being played during the 3pm blackout on a Saturday, which prohibits live games being televised during a certain window, the game is not on TV. It is very rare that Carabao Cup games are televised, with Sky Sports airing just one game in the competition this round.

How to watch highlights of the Carabao Cup

Although games are not being televised, aside from Chelsea v Manchester City, there’s still chances to watch comprehensive highlights. ITV will show a highlights show. This will be broadcast on Thursday at midnight.
