Arsenal unstoppable £740m-rated starting XI next season if transfer rumours come true
Arsenal kick off the Premier League season against Wolves later this month.
It's been a relatively quiet summer transfer window for Arsenal so far as the weeks tick by and the Premier League season edges ever closer.
The Gunners only missed out on the top flight title by two points last time out as Manchester City claimed the trophy again, so Mikel Arteta couldn't be blamed for believing his squad has the talent in it to go one better next time out.
There has been a marquee arrival in defence and rumours of a big forward signing continue too. LondonWorld looks at what the Arsenal starting XI for next season could look like, should rumours come true.
GK - David Raya, £30 million
Made his move from Brentford permanent this summer for a cool £27 million. Ousted Aaron Ramsadle of his starting berth last season and impressed between the sticks.
LB - Riccardo Calafiori, £38 million

Confirmed as an Arsenal player last week having signed from Serie A outfit Bologna for £40 million. Praised for his 'quality and experience' by Edu.
CB - William Saliba, £69 million
Dominant at the heart of the Arsenal defence last season, he played every minute of the Premier League campaign as he emerged as one of the top flight's most reliable defenders.
CB - Gabriel, £60 million
Partnered Saliba well last season and picked up four goals from defence, which highlights his threat from set plays for the Gunners.
RB - Ben White, £47 million
Will arrive into the new season refreshed with his lack of Euro 2024 action for England. White only missed one Premier League match last term and has become a permanent fixture under Mikel Arteta.
CM - Declan Rice, £103 million
Didn't let last summer's £100 million price tag dog him down last season as he purred in central midfield. Will surely be key to Arsenal's title chase again this term.
CM - Martin Odegaard, £95 million
The heartbeat of the Arsenal midfield, the captain sets the relentless pace under Arteta. His haul of 11 goals and 11 assists last term highlight his importance for the side.
CM - Mikel Merino, £43 million

Reports this week suggest Arsenal are closing in on a deal for the Real Sociedad man after talk of 'secret talks' between Arteta and the player last month. The 28-year-old would prove a marquee signing having impressed at Euro 2024 this summer.
LW - Pedro Neto, £47 million

There's competition at left wing with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard two first class players, but the Gunners are believed to be in the market for another option. With Nico Williams now set to stay at Athletic Bilbao for another year, CaughtOffside are predicting a Spurs and Arsenal transfer race for Wolves star Neto.
ST - Victor Osimhen, £86 million
Reports of transfer interest in Napoli talisman Victor Osimhem have always felt ambitious given a release clause of over £100 million. However, news that Chelsea have turned their transfer interest elsewhere has fuelled the fire of those rumours once again this week for the Gunners.
RW - Bukayo Saka, £120 million
The Arsenal starboy plundered 20 goals and 14 assists last season. Those are staggering numbers for a forward who is still just 22 years old.
