Arsenal are reportedly set to receive a new bid for 25-year-old star Eddie Nketiah. The English striker is said to be hopeful of a move away from the Gunners after falling down the pecking order at the top of the pitch.
While the star was involved in 27 Premier League fixtures in the 2023/24 campaign, 17 of those were from the substitutes bench and he scored just five goals along the way.

Hide AdMarseille have been linked with a move for Nketiah throughout the transfer window and, despite having a £23m bid for the forward rejected last week, the Ligue 1 side remain determined to secure their man with the latest indications suggesting that an improved bid is on the way to the Emirates board.
Taking to X, the Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano posted: “Understand Olympique Marseille have sent new bid to Arsenal for Eddie Nketiah. Negotiations restart and Nketiah remains keen on the move to OM, attracted by the project. OM happy to return in talks but they’d only advance at their conditions.”
The French club have had an exceptionally busy transfer window, bringing in five new stars on permanent deals as well as three players on loan moves, including Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. however, they are evidently far from finished with their business as they are set to splash the cash on the former Leeds United loanee.
It was reported two days ago by Romano that Arsenal would be wanting at “at least €35m (£30m) plus sell-on clause for Eddie Nketiah. That’s why Arsenal decided to reject €27m (£23m) proposal from Olympic Marseille as revealed on Friday.”

Nketiah joined the Arsenal academy in 2015 and has gone on to make nearly 120 Premier League appearances for them. The 25-year-old had a brief stint on loan at Leeds in the 2019/20 season but is now set for his second move away from the Emirates as he looks to build on his one England international cap.
