Arsenal will have to bat away competition from elsewhere if they are to land attacker Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach. The France international, who is currently in Qatar with the France squad, is out of contract at the end of this campaign and is due to become a free agent in June 2023. According to a report by L’Equipe, European giants Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are keen on snapping him up.

Former player lands managerial role

Former Gunners defender Kolo Toure has landed the Wigan Athletic job in the Championship. The 41-year-old has worked at both Celtic and Leicester City since hanging up his boots and has taken his first managerial role in the game now. His first game in charge of the Latics will be against Millwall away on 10th December.

Youngster on radar

Arsenal are ‘tracking’ Rangers prospect Jack Wylie along with league rivals Manchester United, as detailed in a report by the Daily Star. The 16-year-old, who can play in both defence and midfield, is being tipped for a bright future at Ibrox but the Scottish side risk losing him. He is eligible to sign his first professional contract in January and has a big decision to make.
