Arsenal 'tracking' Premier League goalkeeper as fringe player 'keen' to move away

Arsenal are said to be chasing another Premier League goalkeeper, amid speculation a fringe player could move on

There is now just one week left in the January transfer window. It has been a relatively quiet window by modern standards - but nevertheless, there is still plenty of time for Arsenal to seal a major deal.

The Gunners are reportedly 'tracking' a target and could make a move for him in the summer transfer window - meanwhile, one of their fringe players is 'keen' to make the jump to Ligue 1.

Arsenal 'tracking' Bournemouth 'keeper Neto

Arsenal are reportedly keen on Bournemouth shot-stopper Neto and have been doing so for months, according to FootballTransfers. While they will not make a move for the player in January, Mikel Arteta is hoping to bring the Brazilian on board in the summer.

What this means for Aaron Ramsdale is unclear. Should Neto be snapped up, he would be pushed further still down the pecking order at the Gunners - it would likely force him to move away from the club to secure a greater share of playing time.

Nuno Tavares 'keen' to join Marseille in January

A forgotten man at Arsenal, Nuno Tavares, could be set to leave the Emirates Stadium in January. According to RMC Sport, he is reportedly keen to secure a move to Marseille in Ligue 1, following a fruitful loan spell with Les Minots last season. He is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest - despite making just six appearances in all competitions, Trees boss Nuno Espirito Santo is unwilling to let him leave.

Since Tavares joined the Gunners back in 2021, he has made just 22 Premier League appearances for them, scoring a single goal along the way.
