Arsenal superfan Piers Morgan explains meeting with West Ham manager David Moyes

Arsenal superfan Piers Morgan has unveiled the details of an exchange he had with West Ham manager David Moyes ahead of the Premier League's final weekend.

On Tuesday night, Gunners supporters became Tottenham Hotspur fans as they willed their north London rivals on against Manchester City in the hope that the Champions would drop points. Mikel Arteta's men need Pep Guardiola's relentless side to falter to hand them a chance of lifting the trophy, but it wasn't to be midweek as Erling Haaland bagged a brace to ensure a 2-0 win.

This weekend, as well as cheering on Arsenal against Everton at the Emirates Stadium, fans will be glued to their phones watching how West Ham fare as they travel to the Etihad Stadium. If the Hammers win or draw against Manchester City, the title could be coming to London, so long as Arsenal beat Everton.

One fan feeling the nerves is TV presenter Morgan, but the 59-year-old is doing his bit to try and motivate West Ham to an unlikely win. He told talkSPORT: “I randomly bumped into David Moyes, who was heading into talkSPORT the other day. I bumped into him in a bar.

“I just got a sense that he wants to go out of West Ham with a bang. What better way can he go out than dismantling City in their own backyard and letting Arsenal win the league.

“Also, West Ham fans… what better way for you to say thank you to David Moyes but also for Declan Rice! The man who brought you European glory. The man who week-after-week held you up as a team and carried you on his shoulders. What better way to go out than win it for Moysey and win it for Declan?

“It’s not over yet and anything can happen on that final day. I thought City looked a little bit jittery and a bit nervous. That’s going to go away. Imagine if West Ham score early on Sunday. I think all bets are off. I hope they get a goal and put pressure on them and we do our bit.”
