Brazil have suffered another blow to their World Cup campaign, with an injury to Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus. Tite’s men are without Neymar even though there are growing hopes that he will be fit for the latter stages of the tournament.

Brazil are already into the last 16 after beating Serbia and Switzerland in their first two opening games, before surprisingly losing to Cameroon in the final game.

Tite is hoping to help Brazil win their first World Cup in 20 years before quitting, but he will have to do without both Neymar and Gabriel Jesus and hope the likes of Antony and Gabriel Martinelli can step up.

Gabriel Jesus is one of the most fearsome forwards in the world at the moment, and he’s been a major force behind Arsenal steaming to the summit of the Premier League.

However the north London club have been hit with news of the player being ruled out of the competition, with the club liaising with the Brazil medical team to find out the extent of the injury.

The Sun is reporting that the player could be set for at least a month out, which is likely to rule him out of the Boxing Day game against West Ham.

There is however good news for the Gunners, with midfielder Thomas Partey exiting the competition with Ghana and now likely to return to London and begin preparations for the rest of the season with the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta will hope that he has most of his squad back in time and healthy for what should be an interesting second half of the season.
