Arsenal are already looking ahead to next season after a bitter end to the 2021/22 campaign.

The Gunners enjoyed a fine season, improving significantly from the previous one, but they ended up missing out on the Champions League.

Instead, it will be a return to Europe in the form of the Europa League for Mikel Arteta’s men, and improvements will be required this summer.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Jesus offer rejected

Arsenal are said to have had a bid rejected for Manchester City frontman Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian is understood to be the Gunners’ top target this summer as they look to improve their front line.

But according to Goal Brazil, they have come up short in their effort to strike an early summer deal.

It’s claimed Arsenal offered £43million and City rejected it, with the Premier League champions wanting upwards of £50million.

Real Madrid problem

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move to land Jesus, needing another option beyond Karim Benzema this summer.

But they face a big problem due to La Liga rules, which only allow for three non-EU players at a time.

Los Blancos are not likely to offload the likes of Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo any time soon, and that could see them miss out on Jesus.

Tielemans speaks

Leicester City star Youri Tielemans has spoken out amid links with Arsenal.

Tielemans has one year remaining on his Foxes contract, and he could be sold this summer, if he does not want to pen a new deal.

Amid links with the Gunners, he has said during international duty: “That is not out of the question. But I can also stay.

“I feel very good at Leicester, I was welcomed with open arms from day one. I give everything for the club until the last day.

“But of course you have to listen to other opportunities, you have to look at your career, and sometimes you have to make choices. Maybe one will come my way.

“You need to stay calm. I’m good where I am. I still have a year left on my contract. I’m not in a rush. When you change clubs, you don’t change just to change. You change because there is a great project on the table.

“For a player, the most important thing is to play. It’ll be up to me to make the right decision regarding my future this summer, but now, I’m relaxed and focusing on the Red Devils (Belgium)”
