Arsenal will end 2022 with an intriguing clash against Brighton on New Year’s Eve. The Gunners will be hoping to maintain their five point lead at the top of the Premier League, but face a tricky clash against an Albion side who have win three of their last four top flight matches.

Before then, however, there is still plenty of Premier League transfer speculation to work through. Check out Friday’s Arsenal-related rumours below...

Arsenal are ready to swoop for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic after the player ignored reported interest from Newcastle United, according to Corriere dello Sport. The Gunners were linked with the Serbian star prior to his move to Turin, and could reignite their pursuit after first choice hitman Gabriel Jesus picked up a knee injury that looks set to sideline him for an extended period of time.

Alongside Mikel Arteta’s men, Chelsea are also said to be keen, with Manchester United described as “the third wheel” in any contest for his signature. Elsewhere, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be monitoring his situation too.

Gunners eye Mannsverk

Arsenal and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head in a race to sign promising midfielder Sivert Mannsverk from Molde. The 20-year-old has already featured 25 times in the Norwegian top flight this season, and was called up to the senior international squad last month.

According to Jeunes Footeux his progress has been enough to alert both the Gunners and the Red Devils, with the two English giants now embroiled in a direct tussle for his services. It is understood that Mannsverk could be available for around £9 million.
