Zinchenko on Arteta’s trick

Arsenal boss Arteta has an interesting trick that has been revealed by defender Oleksandr Zinchenko. According to the Ukrainian, Arteta has injury players travel with the teams so that opponents do not know who is fit or injured until the team is announced one hour before kick off.

Zinchenko said, as quoted by the Daily Mail: “I’ve seen Mikel Arteta tell injured players to come on the team bus and walk into the dressing room with their wash bag, to put the other manager off the scent. Arteta loves to play games with the opposition.”

Arsenal ‘ready’ to sell three

Arsenal are said to be ready to sell as many as three players as they look to fund future spending. The Gunners have spent significantly over recent years, and it’s no secret that they need to ensure they are balancing the books to stay in line with Profit and Sustainability rules.

The Gunners did a good job of it over the summer, offloading fringe stars like Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale, but that process will need ot continue if they want to spend big to land top tier targets. According to former scout Mick Brown, Arsenal are now ready to sell Gabriel Jesus, Kieran Tierney and Zinchenko to make space.
