Arsenal are said to be pushing for a deal to sign Sporting CP star Victor Gyokeres this summer. According to Jornal de Notícias, it’s ‘more and more likely’ the striker will return to England this summer and to joing the Gunners.

The Portuguese outlet claim that Arsenal are ‘hoping to reach an agreement’ to sign the striker, who has netted 22 times in 27 league games since making the move from Coventry City. It’s reported Gyokeres will cost at least £70million this summer.

Tuchel confirms injury blows

Bayern Munich have been dealt a double injury blow ahead of facing Arsenal on Wednesday night. First leg goalscorer Serge Gnabry limped off after scoring and will remain sidelined, while Kingsley Coman is also set to miss out, with Bayern having already confirmed that he will be out for ‘several weeks’ following assessment.

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed in his pre-match press conference: “Manu can play and Leroy can play if he bites his teeth. Serge and Kingsley are unavailable so Leroy has to bite his teeth.”
