Arsenal are reportedly pushing forward in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to Sport Bild.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed a spectacular season for the Bundesliga club, scoring twelve goals and assisting another eleven.

His form has led to interest from all across the globe, with Arsenal joined by a number of other Premier League clubs including Newcastle United.

The Gunners are eager to move to the front of the race to sign Diaby, with Mikel Arteta looking to add more goals to his squad.

Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette could be on their way out this summer with their contracts expiring, while Nicolas Pepe’s time in England has been particularly underwhelming.

However, the report claims that Leverkusen will only part ways with the Frenchman if Arsenal are to cough up a whopping €75 million.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners or Newcastle would be willing to fork out the cash, but Diaby’s choice of club may depend on whether the North London club qualify for the Champions League.

They currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, only two points above Tottenham.

With only six matches remaining of the season, next week’s derby clash against Antonio Conte’s side could be the difference for Arsenal’s transfer hopes.
