The latest injury news ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final with PSG.

Arsenal take on PSG in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night, with both sides hoping to win their first ever Champions League title this season. The Gunners come into this one with additional rest, and they have needed it with little luck on the injury front of late.

PSG did play on the weekend, but they are injury-free heading into this one, although they did take a hit to their confidence after losing to Nice, their first Ligue 1 defeat of the season. Here we round up all the latest injury and suspension news, and we focus on Arsenal because PSG have a clean bill of health and no suspensions heading into this game.

Thomas Partey - Out (Suspended)

Partey is suspended for this game after picking up a yellow card last time out and reaching the limit.

Jorginho - Out

Arteta has confirmed that Jorginho will be out for a spell. He said: “Jorginho as well (is out.) For Jorginho I think unfortunately it will be a few weeks. I hope so [to have him back before the end of the season], but I'm not certain. So we have to see how he evolves in the next few days, I would say a few weeks. So the doctor was quite cautious still about talking about any dates. So let's see. The good news is that he's improving, he's feeling much better. It was quite a scary situation and he's in a good place now.”

Gabriel Jesus - Out

Jesus is out for the season with a ruptured ACL, and he is not likely to return until late in 2025. A statement confirmed at the time: “Further to being substituted during our match with Man United, Gabriel Jesus has received extensive assessments, which have confirmed that he has sustained an injury to the ACL in his left knee.”

Takehiro Tomiyasu - Out

Tomiyasu is out for the season having had further surgery on his knee. A statement confirmed at the time: “Despite an initial procedure, followed by a RTT, Tomi continued to have issues with his knee, resulting in a further corrective surgical procedure. He will now begin his rehab programme, which is expected to be completed towards the end of this year.”

Kai Havertz - Out

Havertz could well be back before the end of the season, but even the second leg might be too big an ask Arteta said recently: “Semi-finals? I think that's too close. But if I have to bet on him earlier than expected, I would say yes. The way he works every day in that gym, pushing everybody, I don't think you can hold him much longer.”

Gabriel Magalhaes - Out

Gabriel is out for the season. A statement confirmed at the time: “Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days and immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, with the aim to be ready for the start of next season.”

Riccardo Calafiori - Out

Arteta has confirmed Calafiori will remain out for the first leg. He said: “Riccardo Calafiori is still not fit.”

Ben White - Doubt

White has been dealing with a knee issue. Arteta has said: “Ben White and Mikel Merino were able to train and we will see if they are able to start tomorrow.”

The same update was issued of Merino.
